Social Innovation Projects

Through innovative ideas and methods, we can collectively address social challenges that will improve people’s lives. Social innovation is about finding creative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that address complex and intersecting challenges. Learn more about UCalgary’s approach to social innovation here.

Our social innovation projects are guided by a commitment to improving people’s lives through collaboration, community engagement, and capacity building. We initiated these projects after identifying gaps in research, education, and services that prevent individuals, families, and communities from thriving. Through these projects, we harness the expertise of multidisciplinary teams of researchers and practitioners and the lived experiences of community members to develop innovative solutions to pressing health and social issues.
