She highlights how the policy explicitly urges technology companies to design with the importance of children’s wellbeing in mind, such as by limiting algorithmic feeds and turning off autoplay by default. Madigan is hopeful that this statement will push forward policies already put in place over the last year, acting as a catalyst for broader action, especially in Canada.
