We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Gizem Keskin and Dr. Elizabeth Al-Jbouri, postdoctoral fellows in our lab, have been awarded Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Postdoctoral Fellowships for 2025. Their outstanding research programs reflect the lab’s ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge on child and youth mental health and development.
Gizem’s postdoctoral research harnesses advanced analytical approaches to deepen understanding of how parental factors shape mental health outcomes in children and adolescents. Her SSHRC-funded research aims to contribute insights into the intergenerational pathways of mental health.
Elizabeth’s SSHRC-funded research focuses on the impact of digital technology use on children and youth development. Her project examines how technology engagement relates to social development, peer relationships, and overall well-being. She seeks to elucidate the complex opportunities and challenges that digital environments present for today’s youth and offer guidance to parents, educators, and policymakers.
Congratulations, Gizem and Elizabeth on this exciting achievement! We look forward to the valuable contributions your work will bring to the field.
