In a news release today, the American Academy of Pediatrics published a new policy statement—Digital Ecosystems, Children, and Adolescents—calling for the creation of a child-friendly digital world. Written by the AAP Council on Communications and Media—including our lab Director Dr. Sheri Madigan—it outlines recommendations for pediatricians, families, digital companies and policy makers. The new policy calls for a systems-wide approach to making the digital ecosystem a healthier, safer place for children.
