Eugena Awarded Summer Studentship

We are excited to announce that Eugena T. S. Lee, a new volunteer in our lab, has been awarded an Alberta Innovates Summer Research Studentship. This award funds experiential learning opportunities in health research and innovation at post-secondary institutes in Alberta.

Over the course of this 16-week studentship in our lab, Eugena will conduct a meta-analysis on the prevalence of the ten adverse childhood experiences in a subpopulation of individuals suffering from chronic illness. This research will be supervised by Dr. Sheri Madigan and Dr. Marissa Nivison. Eugena hopes her contribution will inspire further acknowledgement of the physiological consequences of childhood adversity.

We are proud of Eugena and look forward to working alongside of them in the lab this summer. Congratulations, Eugena!
