Jackson Hewitt, a graduate student in our lab, was awarded with a Hotchkiss Brain Institute Trainee Publication Award for peer-reviewed mental health research.
Jackson received the award based on his contribution as lead author to the paper Testing Bidirectional Associations Between Maternal and Child Depression During Emerging Adolescence, published in JAMA Pediatrics last year. Jackson conducted this research for his Master’s degree, supervised by Dr. Sheri Madigan and Dr. Brae-Anne McArthur.
The paper estimates bidirectional associations between maternal and child depression from middle childhood through emerging adolescence and assesses how these associations are moderated by key sociodemographic factors.
Well done Jackson!
