Jessy Awarded PhD

We are delighted to celebrate Jessy Cooke’s graduation. Jessy completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Calgary under the supervision of Dr. Sheri Madigan and convocated on June 18, 2025. Jessy’s dedication to research and clinical excellence has made a meaningful impact in the field of developmental psychopathology.

Jessy’s doctoral research focused on understanding how caregiver adversity, caregiver-child attachment relationships, and caregiving behaviours shape child development and influence risk for psychopathology. Her work offers important insights into the mechanisms through which early caregiving environments contribute to children’s mental health outcomes.

Her doctoral research was supported by an Alberta Innovates Graduate Studentship in Health Solutions and a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship.

Congratulations, Jessy, on this remarkable achievement. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of your work in both research and clinical practice!
