Raela (she/her) is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Calgary. Broadly, her research interests include risk and protective factors for youth mental health, including adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). She is currently studying how socioeconomic status influences the pathway from ACEs to depression. Her PhD research will examine efficacy and outcomes of child trauma treatment. She is funded by the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute, an Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship, a University of Calgary Distinguished Doctoral Recruitment Scholarship, and a SSHRC Doctoral Scholarship. Clinically, Raela is interested in working with children and adolescents in forensic and community mental health settings.
